In East Timor, there are two language varieties commonly called ‘Tetun'. The one in this dictionary is the ‘Tetun Dili' variety after the capital city. It contains over 5800 Tetun headwords plus1700 sub-entries, and 7000 English entries. There are 2700 cross-references to related words, such as words with similar or opposite meaning, as well as 700 example sentences.
