La Carolina Virtual

The Carolina is a town located to the north of the province of Jaén It was capital and seat of the intendancy of the new populations. The "New Populations" of Andalusia and Sierra Morena were created around 1767, during the reign of Carlos III, and suppressed in 1813. The creation of the New Populations took place during the reign of Carlos III.
